New to this, but not to my golf.
Mid life crisis i think as I bought my Mrs her first car that she wanted, the LHD 1983 cabrio, 2 years before she could drive
Then i did the stupid thing, coming up with ideas to strip the dash out and back seats, do my own door cards etc etc…….
Considering what i have done the car still runs well just on the inside she needs help. I have seen the light and am now trying t make the best out of a bad situation.
I have lowered her, metal bumpers, crystal lights, corrado electric heated front seats and pop-open quarter windows.
She looks solid enough so hope to get her registered over here and through her MOT really soon.
She is running on a 4 speed box with a 1.8L engine, well thats what the block says but not the paper work.
I love the car to bits, but should never have attempted the work.
I have a pic of the her…
i shall get some more of the horror show interior soon.
oh by the way does anyone know where i can get hold of the window seals that SHOULD, not on my car anymore, get the water off the window when lowered. If that makes sence, probably not.
Any help, advice or laughter welcome.
Cheers
Steve
