Hi folks Howzitgaun!  this is my first post. I live in Scotland and have only yesterday put my girlfriends Campaign on the road, she is over the moon finally… We bought the car 14 months ago and it was a minter, or so I thought as being a guy I was meant to be the expert. To cut a long story short it's finally back on the road after 3 engine transplants. I told my girl it was only in to get the tappets adjusted, but after a few months I had to confess that I had melted a piston, that the replacement engine was a duffer and that unbelievably the oil pump packed up in the rebuilt engine. But amazingly we are still together and She left for work today in the GTI, so fingers crossed for the next few months the least that can happen is that she kerbs the four refurbished alloys.
