My rivage, daily driver
Bought this Rivage a few weeks ago, it's done just over 60,000 miles (now), really curious about what you ladies and gentleman think about it. Is it wrong that I use it as a daily driver?? :dontknow:

any ways hope this works ….

Cheers

I've an '89 Clipper Cab not as nice as yours (yet) and I use for work and back (even in winter) plus leisure. No point having it stuck in the garage, mice and spiders just don't appreciate Mk1 Cabs.
regards
and
welcome

I no longer have the Mk1!! I now whizz round in a Black 1990 3dr Mk2 GTi 8v but the roof doesn't fold back when the sun shines

Being a daily driver I will no doubt need to use it over the winter, but im worried that this will knacker the car and the bodywork - that's without even thinking about the pond that may grow in the back of it if the roof leaks. :dontknow:
So I take it a few people still use a cabby over the winter time then?

Ran hose pipe over back end when dry to check and no water leaked through??? So must've been that

Nontheless, leaks and rattles aside, I love having a mk1, there the most fun of all the cars I've had.

I use mine all year round and yes, it does leak (new roof needed) but only on the passanger side so I'm not too bothered

Lift the bonnet and check the drainage holes at either end of the plastic tray thing - sometimes if they get blocked with leaves and stuff you can get water in the footwells…
Hope to see you again soon at another meet

Thanks for the advice Rachel!! I'm hoping to get on top of everything at work and get to some more meets - will try and make grantham this weekend but it's looking unlikely. Life is so unfair

In my novice opinion your Rivage looks lovely!! You just need some higher resolution pics and a sunny day - I think it makes all the difference!! Is that a cream leather interior i spy….??
