She runs perfect! 87k Genuine miles backed up with the service history.(Which is always nice) A little bit tappety but ive been told thats ok and pretty normal? I still cant believe the noise @ 3-4k RPM…

Hi Wez and welcome to the club.

This was the one from Future Classics if I'm not mistaken?? originally owned by a member of the forces in France???

Looks stunning and a white series 1 GTI in the uk is a very rare thing.

What other Dubs you had??

Hello and welcome to the site.
Thats a lovely car, I was watching that with interest, looks really good in the photos bet its even better in the flesh.
The engines are abit noisey by modern standards and do produce an induction type roar when pressed hard over 3000
Enjoy it and i look forward to seeing this summer at the shows 8)

Hi wez

It is the same car.

The guy you bought it from (Paul from Bristol??) has a website called Future classic cars. It had been up for sale on there for about a month or so and sometimes he'll sell via ebay.

If you look your car is still on there.

I also think you got it for good money and if looked after and kept the way it is, can only appreciate in value.
