VW MK1 GOLF GTI BRAKE PROPORTIONING VALVE

Brake Proportioning valve is leaking on my golf gti, I'm about to replace the  brake pipes. Can I remove it all together and not have on fitted ?

Do you mean the one by the rear beam?
Short answer is no, you'll lock the rear brakes up very very easily and that would be very bad. Later model cabriolets didn't have it, but they used some inline valves to do the same thing. No idea on part numbers, but there are plenty of cabby owners on here that could help I'm sure.

Nope 180 would be on the cards

What numbers do you want from proportioning valves or would you wanting to buy some

only have cabriolet ones fitted to the master cylinder mate
