mk1 clipper airbox drilling

hi i want to drill my airbox, its a carb 1.8 clipper. where do i drill and how big?

You don't drill, at least not on a Clipper. It will make no difference to the performance of the car.

lol i just want a better sound, doin a 1.8t conversion in summer so until then just wanteda better sound

Unsure, but I think the Clipper has a cold air/hot air valve at the end of the airbox, then some short induction tubing. So it would have effects on the cold running of the engine - making it run worse. Fuel injected cars have no such warm air/cold air flap, because they have a different design of induction and aren't suceptible to carb icing.
