mk1 boot popper

i'm taking the lock off my tailgate but dont know how to connect the solenoid. i have wired it through but dont know where to connect metal cable to pull lock (mk1 tin top)

there is a metal bar coming out of the boot catch, you need to set it up so the solonoid pulls the catch in the same way.
