GTi Manifold on 1.3?

OK, so I've got a 1.3 Mk1, and am looking to change the exhaust system (manifold, box etc.) to get more freeflow and power…

I know someone with a GTi, and was wondering if the manifold etc. from that would:

a) fit straight onto the 1.3
b) provide any benefits whatsoever to performance and power

If its a UK model, then no. Whereabouts is the car from? SA model???
