golf mk1 engine change

i just want to know if anybody has put a mk2 1600 in a mk1,if so do i need to change the fuel lines,tank etc? :dontknow:

best off putting this in the mods section but like what engine is it atm ? like  big or little block if its a big block go g60 if its a small block g40 quite simple.

but ur question: yeh should be fine is urs a gti or just a 1.6 carb as the mk2 are carbs so would need to lower the pressure with a different tank and pump .

o yeh where bouts in norfolk are ya ? im from suffolk so not to far away if ya need a a hand
