Engine type Golf 2 16v gti k-jetronic kr 102kw info

hi

Looking to buy a  Golf 2 16v gti k-jetronic kr 102kw  engine only the highest bhp type for transplant.

does anybody know what reg car i need to be looking at and,,,,

where on the engine will i find the information, is there a stamp??if so where is it located.

Bit confused about what you are asking to be honest?

102KW? The 1.8 KR 16v was rated at a tad under 140BHP.
There are some slight differences between engines through out the years, such as the inlet manifold size (40mm on some, 50mm on others, but also, the ECU (different part numbers and different power bands).

Can't tell you what years had what bits to be honest, but they are all rated at the same power output… :dontknow:
