audi throttle body

hi ya,
i want to fit a larger throttle body to my golf 1600 gti , i know you can fit an audi one , but off which model? and how much bhp is this suposed to give.     also  by replacing the standard air intake pipe and replacing for a power roar pipe is this going to make any additional power gains or just sound nice?

any advice welcomed.

To be honest very little unless your engine needs more air.
If you combine it with the Audi Warm up reg and plumb in the vacuum pipe then you will get slight enrichment when you bang the throttle down, ideal for the larger second butterfly.

Cheers,
Ade

The audi throttle body has 34/54mm throttles, 10mm larger than mk1 original. Got mine from an audi 100 2,3

Which vacuum pipe is it that to be plumbed?

Also you need to port the intake, otherwise the throttle wont open. use the gasket from the audi throttle body to mark were to grind.
