AAV on a kr engine?

im in the middle of a kr conversion. apparently an AAV is a better way to go than an ISV. how does an AAV work? what does one look like? and what does it wire into? a pic of a bay with a kr in it would be good

An AAV typically lets extra air in the intake when cold, to raise the RPM.

A tube goes from the air intake to one side of the AAV and the other side goes to the intake manifold.

When it warms up it closes and the RPM's settles to normal.

Erattic idle when cold or high idle when warm, can be caused by a stuck AAV.
