2.0 on webbers

Hi all. Im starting a conversion on my mk1 gti.
I want to put the 2.0 16v engine in but i wanna be different from the crowd (Injection) and have either twin webber carbs or twin throttle bodies.
Is this possible on this engine or will i be better of putting them on a 1.8 16v??? or some other engine??

Paul, anythings possible. What donor 2.0 engine are you going for ?

they do like a pair of 45dcoe's. 2.0 is always better than 1.8

I have a pair of twin Dellorto`s and they works really great with my 2.0 16v

I was browsing around the internet for carburettors and I came across this:

Webcon do a pretty complete kit, which would save a lot of the hassles of manifolds, linkage, etc.

any idea how much the TB kit is?

Not 100% sure these prices are accurate, but I think the TB only kit is about ?600 or you can get the full installation kit (incl. DTA ECU, engine map and sensors) for upwards of ?2k.

Ironically, I bought my 9A engine (2.0 16V) from a classified ad on Edition 38 forum.
