i have the audi throttle body, the engines got a 2ltr bottom end with a re1900 gti engineering head cam etc i dont really want to fiddle with settings id rather just plug it in and let it work its own magic like.
It doesn't "work any magic", it needs properly setting up to give any power gains. All it does, is allows you more control over the AFR, you need to set it up properly otherwise it will be the same or worse!
Can you offer any enlightenment on how to measure the pressures and on what… so it will "do its magic"..
I've read a few articles lately about the latent 30 - 50% power potential in K-Jet, but none of the features are that forthcoming in how to liberate it..
I understand knife edging and polishing the larger audi throttle body - that bits obvious - more in = more out..
But the other area covered by many articles is the hint that the idle fine tune adjustment (3mm allen key on the metering head) controls the low speed idle mixture - they all hinted that tuning this was the key to big increases higher up the rev range..
Any light you can shed on this?
cheers

Paul_c, I'm considering using one of these newer model warm up valves on a Mk1 dx gti.

See http://www.vwgolfmk1.o…c&highlight=afr&start=140, page 15 onwards shows the actual WUR mod, but the rest of the thread shows a lot of other fuelling tweaks and the actual effect on the car's performance. In summary:
Before: 1/4 mile in 14.40 secs, 0-60 approx 5.6 secs
After: 1/4 mile in 14.15 secs, 0-60 approx 5.3 secs
But to set it up properly, you'll need:
Fuel pressure gauge
All the other tools to remove & fit fuel injection components
AFR meter and quiet roads or rolling road
Quite a lot of time, for trial & error
thanks a lot - lots of quiet roads around here.. ! the link shows lots of reference to AFR ratios - but no reference to BHP changes - any ideas what is possible with just these changes..?
scrappers here i come!
thanks
Obviously, power = torque x speed
So, Where M is at peak is the desired target i assume, Lamba value .9, so a 16% on the left hand scale? What is the left hand scale? AFR?
