02a speedo cable??

hi, can anyone tell me which speedo cable i need for an 02a gearbox. I've heard i need one from a passat???  :dontknow:  if so can someone give me more info please such as what year etc, or even better a part number??

Also a Corrado will work. There are many years, I would guess all year Corrados and Passats starting around 1990 (+/-).

Don't mean to sound like an ar*e but i've been given lots of incorrect info and wasted a lot of time and money in the past because of people saying things like ''you should be able to use this'', or ''i think you need one of these''. Ideally i'd like someone whose running an 02a gearbox to tell me what they're using  :dontknow: anyone??

I am and have been running more then one 02A gear box in both MK1 and MK2 vehicles, but I am not going to look up each and every model by year to give you an exact detailed list that you can build yourself. Not to sound like an ar*e, but if you want to be that exact then buy some research books and programs like ETKA or use the Internet for searching and not asking others to do the work for you. You want exact, 1990 Corrado or 1991 Passat with an 02A transmission will work. And yes, your response rubbed me the wrong way.

dude chillax, i'm sorry if i rubbed you the wrong way it's just your reply wasn't as specific as i was hoping and how am i to know how many differnt gearbox combinations you've used. as for buying books and doing the research myself, i was under the impression that this is exactly why these forums are set up so people can share their knowledge and experiences??? It's got fu*k all to do with me wanting someone to do all the work for me, if that was the case i'd take it to a garage and pay them to do it
