Why was my post deleted?

Only just started revisiting this site, but posted a thread on bumpers and it's gone….whyyyy? sorry if it was problematic in some way…

This is a 2 year old post mate and as shown already hasn't been deleted! For your info no posts are ever deleted anyway, they maybe moved but never deleted.

lol nooo that was a long time ago, but a similar issue! The cars offroad, but not too bad only needs bit of work (or money more to point)…

But my question on the new thread was how many variations of bumpers are there for series 2 GTis? I have the plastic ones but with chrome insert lines but they are faded to hell so its my primary issue with the cars appearance….

I know of…chrome bumpers, plastic, plastic wtih "chrome" inserts, and metal….are these the only options and where is best to get a set of basic plastics ?

Thanks for replying guys…and well spotted, but my previous issue was more about if series 2 would handle chrome bumpers (my rookie mistake lol). I'm now wondering if theres a guide on the different bumper types available

There is no guide. There might have been previous thread(s) on it. Metal bumpers fit but the wings are different, for the plastic bumper there is a hole which contains a clip.

Plenty of people have put metal bumpers onto a car which had plastic ones originally.

The main problem is buying a decent condition metal bumper.

Cheers Paul, plastic originals is what I am going for now anyway I think, just wondering if theres only one sort of the plastics aside from the 'chrome' inserts I already have. Crazy Quiff only has the metal ones it seems.
