spares!

i'm in desperate need of getting my cab back into my garage as i think it will be off the road the next couple of years while i try to do my campaign project on a budget of paying with mars bars ,

the thing is i seem to have collected up lots of spares in the garage & now i don't know what to keep,sell or dump incase i need it in the future.

so how does everyone else decide on what spares they keep?

hi there i just got new shed becouse i cant part with bits just incase  

i do have that in mind Gavin but i'll have to find somewhere to put it as i have no more room where i am,my mate keeps one of my mk1's at his now and reckon he would be ok with it,just think i need to clear my feet a bit.

There's never a right answer but keep:

- things that you need to make the car complete
- things that are a common issue on Mk1 golfs, eg ignition switch, or wear out eg wiper motors
- things that are hard to obtain, eg windscreens

Throw away or sell:

- broken or worn out stuff
- multiple sets of wheels - how many wheels do you need???

i think it is just the fear of selling something that i might need & end up spending a fortune to get another!

one of my main ones is that i've had a spare interior for my sportline for about 6 years i think that if i sell it i will damage the one in it :roll:
