Mk1 Golf GTI values

Just seeing what everyone thinks you see values of the mk1 and mk2 escort going through the roof and similar vehicles doing the same, but the Golf was the first hot hatch but stays fairly low in price, do you think they will just rocket up or go up slowly over time or remain the same

They'll go up if they become rarer, but there's still loads about.

Quick everyone scrap your golfs so mines worth more

i think the price of golfs are low becuase they made so many, alot are still around unlike other cars of the same era, plus the value stays low due to so many teenagers still owing them!

also prices of golfs are staying at a level cos they dont rust and fall to pieces like escorts and the like, they also werent owned by chavs back in the day so tended not to be ragged so much

I think the small engined Mk1's will start going up more as there arn't so many about as there are Gti's plus youngsters are more able to afford to run them

old escorts are only pricey because they are so popular for rally, i dunno if all this chopping slamming n altering of golfs will affect the price of oem ones and near oem ones, i hope so cos mines is basically oem +. Is the price guide on here updated ?
