Mk1 Golf needed for ITV show in Cheshire - short notice!

Hello, my name is Jacqueline Mellor. I work on ITV4's Used Car Roadshow, presented by Jason Dawe and Penny Mallory. The show is a studio/locaiton based show.
 
In each programme there is a section called 'Teenage Kicks' which looks at the cars of yesteryear that people wanted but were unable to afford when they were younger. I was hoping that you may be able to ring me on 0113 284 9184 - we would really like to feature an VW Golf Mk1 from the mid 70's that could come on the show on 30th June. We will be filming at Tatton Park Car Show, which is in Cheshire. Do you think that any of your members would like to feature there cars on the show? I hope that you may be able to help me. My name is Tom Maguire and I am a researcher for an ITV4 programme called Used Car Roadshow. This is a car programme that focuses primarily on the used car market of the UK. We are currently in production for the third series of the show and we are looking for members of the public who would be interested in exhibiting their cars on our programme.

The show itself has a number of items that run throughout the series, such as 'Free Motoring' where our presenters (Sunday Times motoring journalist, Jason Dawe, and ex-presenter for Channel 4's Driven and women's world rally champion, Penny Mallory) look at and discuss cars that have reached such a point in the used car market that they will not depreciate for at least the next year - hence 'Free Motoring'. We also have items like 'Hot Tips', where our presenters offer practical advice to our viewers related to general car maintenance and simple modifications that can be done at home.

We also have another item called 'Teenage Kicks' - and this is the item that relates to my specific request to you. This item is all about desirable, in one way or another, cars that our presenters (or sometimes members of the public) consider to have been something particularly special when they came out, and are still special now. It is very much a nostalgic look at cars of the past. One such suggestion from our presenter is the Mk1 VW Golf GTi. So, I have been charged with the task of sourcing a nice example to feature on the show. We would only need it to act as a visual aid for our presenters to reference towards, i.e. we will not be doing any test-drives or anything like that. The car would be parked up in a static set-up, and then our presenters would do their pieces to camera, and that is about it.

We are going to be filming for episodes 17 & 18 of a series of 27 at the British VW Festival at Malvern in Worcestershire on the 7th July and we would love to have a nice example of a Golf GTi along for then and feature it within the programme. Ideally the Golf will be an early example as possible, i.e. a mid-70s model - however, we are quite flexible in this respect as the item will be quite a general overview of the car. We are using this event as a general backdrop for the show, that's why we are shooting at a VW festival. We would, of course, cover any and all travelling/fuel costs incurred in getting to the Car Show, and we would also cover the entrance fee to the event.
