Refitting door glass

Hello,
I've recently received my doors back from paint and am currently putting them back together. Just wondering if there were any tips and tricks to getting the window glass safely back in the lifter rail. So far I've heard of people using sash clamps or even mallets! Similarly if there are any tips on refitting the quarter it'd be great to hear them too.

Start the glass back in the door at an angle as the window is wider than the opening.  I have had better luck opening the door and inserting it from the inside side as the Curve of the glass works with you.

All I ever used was my hands… but then again, I work on cabbies…..  But I have replaced a window or two on my old Rabbit, and Van, and Eagle, and ,,,,,,,,, Wear golves, and don't drop it are my 2 words of real wisdom.
