Interior door handle / leaver arms not working

Post

Handle is loose and not functioning correctly

I recently removed and greased my door locking mechanisms. When I put them back on it seems I've done something wrong but i cant figure out what…..

So the door closes as normal and will lock as normal. However the inner handle is very loose and there used to be enough tension to keep it in one place. But when I drive the car the handle rattles around…

If i pull the inner handle whilst the door is locked (Pin down) then the door becomes impossible to open unless i climb out the other door walk round the car and unlock the door with the key from the outside.

I can't figure out what it is I've done wrong, the door pin is connected to the locking mechanism and long metal stick is also hooked into the door mechanism…… I can't remember if the doors used to unlock from the inside when the handle is pulled but they definitely don't now…… all I know is that the inner handles used to have more tension and wouldn't be loose and the door used to unlock open and close perfectly fine.

Can anyone tell me what I've done wrong and how to fix it

It is quite common to get the locking lever out of place.

Opps, the spring is in the mechanism.  If the door locks from the outside as well as unlocks, then the issue is with the locking knob, as when you pull up on it it isn't engaging the down rod to lift the lock.  It is usually that plastic piece 9 has pulled loose of the locking rod.
