What kind of mods can be done to the mk1s?

I need you help again, you lot have been very helpful so far so thanks.

Basically i run http://www.vagweb.co.uk and im designing a feature similar to that of dubbmodders. Now I could just look at all the stuff on ther and copy it but I dont want to do that, i want to make it from scratch and different.

Iv started with the mk1 golf, but my knowledge is limited.

Iv only added a few changes and a few wheels so far and lowering etcc, it can be found here

Now I need to find out what popular mods are to these, different bumpers/grills etc that can be fitted to the mk1 golf.

Pics would also be very useful.

where do you want to start? it really is limitless! for some Modded Mk1s go to the Edition38 WWW. there are a fair few on there. 16V lump is a popular mod to start with.

after like mainly visual mods, really, i need some various grill variations if possible as thats what im lacking, and various bumpers too

grilles:

obviously theres the standard two and four light

I guess you could add red or chrome trim

and black or chrome badge

you could do badgeless versions of the above

you could also have the square westmoreland style

and even some of the more wacky ones like zender, or kamei


bumpers:

again the obvious standard black plastic

or chrome trimmed above,

or the small type in both black and chrome

then theres stuff like the clipper body kit, with its bumpers

you could add some mk2 style 'big' bumpers

and then again, its slightly more crazy ones like bbs or zender body kits

I reckon you should also add in a berg cup option with huge arch flares and bumpers  8)
