Too cold to work on the mk1 today :-(

It's -9 here, no way I am getting in the garage today !!

Any one else gonna attempt it ?

When it's this cold you do not notice cuts and scrapes until back in the warm !!

come on ade your in a garage, i've been workin outside since 6 this morning ..

to true ade i work out side all as a commercial,fitter on 40,foot trailers got loads to do on the mk1s, spend all weekend getting heat back in to my bones,cant wait for some rays,lol

Lol Matt - next job is to make the accelerator cable bracket on some ali I got this week - garage of not it is too bloody cold to be touching metal - I don't feel the cold but stood in a garage is another deal altogether !!

Light nights and some warmth will be good Icky !!

got to finish of engine bay o one to fit abf on zzr1100,bike carbs and new carb rubbers on the other,rejet the carbs,fit anti roll bars,and more,

not out side faboi the garage is fool of mk1 bits, the cars are out side m8,

The secret is a thermal boiler suit!

I am in the same boat i have to pull car out on to drive and work on it there.
I am going to give it a go as wife and kids going out for afternoon.

So lots and lots of clothes on and see how long i last (will let you know later how long i managed)

Well "Arbeiten ist die wärmste Jacke!" is what he actually used to scream but you get the picture!

I find thick gloves with the finger tips cut off warm enough to work in the garage and still feel what your doing if that helps… and very thick socks!

To bloody cold to work on the car. its just not fun. Was showing -8 when i got up and its now hovering around zero at the moment. Bashing knickles is no fun with cold hands.

Just about turned over this morning.. so noticed the fn belt was loose and the battery is on it's last legs.. but it's started snowing and i'm working outdoors so no!  :mrgreen:
