Parking ticket advice...

Right, got a bloomin parking ticket outside my house today. Firstly, i;d like to break the traffic wardens fingers for touching my windscreen wiper! How dare he

Secondly, i'm wondering what my chances of appeal are if theyve written the wrong street name on the ticket? Basically i live on Lorne Street, the warden has put West Lorne Street which is round the corner. I'm assuming that's good grounds for an appeal. Any ideas how to word it though or what my chances are? Obviously i was parked illegally but the ticket is plain wrong.

Cheers

Lewis

Wrong address on parking tickets, speeding fines, etc are no defence because they argue that its an admin mistake and that the offence was still committed. Sorry for sounding boring here, but if it was parked illegally, pay the fine.

Sorry Paul, but I have to disagree buddy.

You should ALWAYS write a letter to appeal parking tickets.  I would just word the letter with an excuse as to why the car never had a ticket/ticket expired etc and happen to drop into the letter that you also noticed that the street name was wrong.

I have got away with a fair few tickets in my time from writing a letter.  You also have nothing to lose by doing this, worst case is they say sorry you have to pay and you pay it.

I was also told that 1 in 3 tickets which have been appealed are enforced to be payed.  Dont know if that was just Aberdeen city or not but thats a hell of alot of tickets that the council dismiss each year!

Just my 2 P.
