Oops Wrong Day!!

It was at least 25C here today, the warmest day in Northern Ireland this year so far. Hubby wanted to go out on the boat but I had other plans.

I was going to the Car Event at Daft Eddies, Skettrick Island. Eldest child was in choir rehearsals, youngest went to the grandparents house and I set off with hubby and our 7 year old daughter.

They went begrudgingly. Firstly they don't like being see in the cabby (its old, embarassing and falling apart)     :roll: and secondly they wanted to be on the boat.  So I drove there, hood down whilst being nagged about speeding and bumpy roads the whole way there.  :roll:

As we approached Daft Eddies (restaurant and bar) I expected to see loads of cars. On a sunny day its manic down there so with a car event it was sure to be hiving.

There were no cars of note to be seen. I'd got the wrong day.    Its next Saturday.  :dontknow:  Needless to say I'll be back next week on my own.    OH tells me that if they have a "car most suited to the scrapyard" category I will win hands down.  :twisted:

anyway its been a fantastic weekend if you own a cabby 8)
