One year on.....

Well, it's almost a year since I bought the Cabby and so far there's been no regrets. She's been reliable, cheap to run and most importantly it was great fun during the long hot summer. Thankfully, even my wife fell for it and couldn't wait to get out in her for a long run at the weekend.

She's had an eventful life. Originally supplied in Ibiza, then spent some time in Germany, travelled to Scotland and now resides here in Holland but will be back in Scotland next month for good when my wife and I move back.

It was MOT'd and taxed in Jan last year. At the same time I also fitted 2 new front tyres, new discs & pads and gave it a service. Since then all I've had to do is replace the battery. She hasn't even used any oil  8O I can't think of another car I've owned which has cost less to run than this little car  :D

Actually, I did buy a set of polished Le Castellets and a blue leather interior but I ?an't class that as running costs, more like little luxuries to spruce her up a bit

Considering she lives outside in all weathers and has to use country lanes frequented by muddy tractors she seems to have survived quite well. I've noticed a couple of surface rust patches appearing which I'll sort once the weather improves but other than that looks quite good for a 16 year old.

The MOT is due again at the end of this month so fingers crossed nothing major is needed.

Hope I haven't bored you to death

Cheers
Paul
