I was thinking that the Golf GTI was like Stella too. Not highly strung, not poncy and consistant and a "known quantity" wherever you go. Uncomplecated and yet, somehow, just dead right and devistatingly effective.
Also, Stella tends to be a little more than your average pint lol
If you are talking about Absinthe, that's the likes of the old Group B rally cars. Spirits are probably more like open top sports cars, like Porsches and TVR's.
Vodka Redbull, in a large enough quantity, such as a pitcher, I reckon represents the likes of the homologation specials at the end of the 80s like the E30 M3, Lancia Integrale, etc…
