I remember selling my XR2 in the rain in a garage forecourt. That thing was making so many funny noises and the body was as shoddy as they came. Lord only knows how long it lasted or what the buyer thought when he saw it in daylight!

Miss my old Corrado, sold it as it was costing me a fortune in fuel bills at the time + I got bored as it was too reliable and I like to tinker!
Then I bought a type 3 notch to tinker with - but that was too unreliable so I got the Mk1 which is 50/50 reliable…just how I like it

E reg Mk2 Golf. Ran like a dream, never let me down and was regulary serviced and I kept it for over 6 years. I only sold it cause it had 130k on the clock and the drivers seat was sagging a little.
Sold it to my mate when I got an M reg Mk3. He booted it everywhere and did the clutch in so badly that pieces of it sheared off and went into the engine and knackered the engine as well.
I was gutted to see it go for ?250 to be a 'race car' for track days.
I sold the Mk3 after 12 months cause I didn't like the handling of it - never stopped wishing I'd kept the Mk2 !!!
