Golf mk1 GX - Value?

Lo everyone,

I've just bought a 1983 golf mk1 GX as a winter run about, but it gives me the impression that its too good to use for this! The interior is immaculate, the car runs beautifully, its got 6 months MOT, its arctic silver, has a working sunroof and the only thing on the whole car that is broken is the rear window de mister!

The back drivers side arch is rotten and the bodywork is a bit tatty all round, its got the original plates, original stereo and speakers and the engine bay is 100% rust free.

Its got 123k on the clock and i've got the service book and user manuals. The service book is only up to about 50K.

I bought her for ?100 and dont wanna run her into the ground, especially if i know someone would like to restore her.

If she's not worth much i'll keep her and have a tinker, as she's pretty quick and better than my vento to drive down the motorway!  :dontknow:

I take its a 5 Door?

I shouldn't like its worth alot especially with rot on it you paid ok money for it so enjoy it until the mot runs out.
