what about the pics of the rust?

Before considering this you must go and see it in the flesh.  I'd be very concerned about the rust that is showing - ALWAYS asssume the actual rust is 10x as bad as what you can see.

The windscreen frame will be holed and will require windscreen out, welding and making good.  Same for rust at rear 1/4.

I would expect rust at both front cerners of the floor pan with comprimised sills at both front and rear - ceck out the whole floor pan and lift the carpets.  Check rear panel has not been bodged - lower corners, number plate holes and number plate light mounts.  Check Spare wheel well.  Check A posts up around fuse box.  Inner wings etc etc ect….

Obviously anything can be fixed  :D  but I'd not be wanting to pay ?1100 for it even with the MK2 engine.

When there is rust like that there is for sure more to follow underneath. The bonnet looks shot and you want to check those inner wings carefully.

Don't spend a lot of money on such a car without seeing it first as pictures will never give you the full story. Take a small torch, screwdriver and magnet to check for filler with you.
