Fine frim DVLA

Ive never had one from these before, all because i forgot to send the log book off when i scrapped my Bmw, and it don't matter what excuses i use, they're not having none of it.

They are really tightening down on this now. Our company was involved in a whole bunch of IT services into these government sectors. It is now much easier for the DVLA, police and other government agencies to share information and react faster to missed/incorrect paper work… sorry about that!

Have you got a receipt for scrapping still or can you get one back dated?

I had similar thing with a Mini although a few years ago. They wanted about ?1500 back tax but when I showed them receipt from scrappy they stopped the proceedings.

Unfortunantly no, I scrap quite a few cars but this is the first time ive been busted, so ive paid the fine and i'll not be so stupid next time, its the cars fault anyway, it was a nightmare from day one, its the main reason i went back to what i know best.
