fuel accumilator

Should the engine still run ok if the accumilator is bypassed, what is inside it? is it just a form of swirl pot?

the fuel accum is a very important part of CIS system , Bosch installed accumulators to help with Hot starting & prevent Vapour Lock by helping maintain the fuel pressure when a Hot engine is stopped , Fuel under pressure has a higher boiling point
