windscreen wiper help????
i was told by a mate that there is a screw that u can remove on the steering colloum so that u can get an intermitant wipe is this true if so how do i do it ???????
getting fed up of not having any !!!

Close but not bang on.
if you don't have intermittant wipe take the shroud off the column and look on the left hand side of the switch gear iirc.
You will see a small white clip/plug - pull it out and your intermittant will be there.
not sure why VW did this - I guess some models didn't have intermittant wife - base polo?? Whe the switch was replaced with a new one the fitter would forget to take out the plastic stop.
Could do with a photo of the location onec you have found it

I think you also need the intermittent wiper relay. Position 10, 4th from left bottom row of fuse box.
VW removed some options on base/low spec models to force you to spend more on the CL or GL. This is a classic example were they actually added something (the plastic switch stop) to reduce the desirability of the lower models. 8O 8O
