mk2 wiper motor in mk1 help

hi everyone i have been reading posts for 3 days and cant get my head round it, do you only swap the motor from the mk2 into the mk1 using the mk1 mech of do you put the wholr lincage from the mk2 into yhe mk1 and scrap the mk1's linkage?

Just swap the motor. My Mk2 motor sits at a slightly different position than the Mk1 item, you'll have to remove the mount (I hammered mine out of the way in a crude fashion).

The wiring shouldn't be too complicated, since the wire colours are the same.

my motor sits at a different poistion too but no hammering was required, just undo the centre nut that holds the linkage on then the 3 little ones that holds the motor in, some mk2 motors are the same some ain't but they all bolt in with the same 3 bolts
