Changing Speedo Dials/Mileage

I need to replace my speedo, got the new cluster, but how do i change the actual dial to keep the correct mileage, saw a readme or a link or someone saying they knew how to do on here , but cant find it now

Easiest thing to do is unbolt the back of the clocks, i think there's about 8 bolts. Take out the bulbs, there's also a screw in top right, undo all these and carfully remove all parts out of the back. You should be able to swap the whole speedo section out of your original clocks and put it in the new cluster. That is if it's not broken!

Just out of curiosity, is it an MFA cluster? I need a motometer rev counter to repair mine out of a cabrio GTI.

if swapping is not possible take the speedo out look down the top of it and you';ll see the numbers and the driving cogs. using 2 small screwdrivers lefer the cog on the number you want to change 1 way, and use the other screwdriver to pop the number round till the milage is correct.
