Centrral locking aftermarket kit.

I have had for quite some time an aftermarket 4dr locking kit.

Has anyone got pictures of where best to mount the motors in the front and rear doors?

I had a quick look at the rear as the card was off from having the smashed door glass replaced. It looks like mounting high up twords the rear in the cutout is the only place on the back doors.

What about the front?

I have a Microscan 400 alarm with remote cental locking installed on my Cabrio. I fitted it my self and it was not too bad too do. The two front doors was`nt really hard with the motors. had to measure everything up and cut to size with the little bars. a little bend here and there and not to interfear with the locks , works like a treat.

The only little problem i came across a few days later, was one of the wires got pinched inside the door. As the door closed a wire hanging got caught on the door slide. The little metal bar that stops the door opening too far.. Had to redo the wires inside the door and tidy it up.

I have no rear doors but i would say its just as easy to put the locking motors on.

All the kits use prety much the same motor design.

I will just have to take it all appart and give it a go when I get a chance.
