wanted! gear selector lever part no 171 711 177C

hi, does anyone know where i can get a new/good used gear selector lever part no 171 711 177C?

after a nightmare weekend the golf let me down this afternoon the clamp has obviously came loose and the brass splined bit has become very smooth so i was left with no gears in the city centre!

I bought a new selector rod for 20 euros from a Dutch VW agent who was flogging all his obsolete stock. The only place I have seen these for sale since is Mk1 Autohaus in Philadelphia. They are NOS and are $109 ie £65 plus postage from there.
