OLD - Guess the Asking Price 'GAP' of MK1's in Austria, 'SEASON 1 to 3' 2013-2016.

Post

Important!

MK1's for sale in Austria.

We will be starting with the first car on Sunday the 29th of October 2018.
The last car will appear on Sunday the 25th of February 2018.

Before 2017.
So go to page 225 to catch up with Season 4 or just browse below if you have time on your hands what I started back in 2013, apart from the fun and banter, you could learn about buying and selling and for the first time to have an opportunity to look into the sellers mind!  :ninja:  :o

We've had nearly 80,000 hits and 4,500 comments for the specialized game in roughly 60 weeks now total.
The game is only available here on our forum and no other so come on and join us for a bit of fun!

We stated here, "Cars we've seen so far from the beginning."

Guess the price 'Asking Price' of this MK1 in Austria 'Season 3' starts late October 2015!
Including for the first time a sprinkling of International guest cars for sale from different parts of the world.

But you can read all about season 1 & 2 from here on.

Some great cars, interesting facts, humor and some needle along the way.
All in the best possible taste of course.

IF YOU'RE READING THIS FOR THE FIRST TIME and you want to take part just go to the last page.
Scroll back to the last set of MK1 pictures and description and 'Guess the Asking Price' or GAP for short, simple as that.
Or if you want to just look through the cars and prices, feel free!

WE ARE RUNNING our own little 'PREMIER LEAGUE', with a little prize at the end of the season in the shape of a gold engraved medal.

For the winner.

For the runner up and 3rd.

Minus the Cricket medal but you get the idea! :)
The season ends on the last weekend of February 2016, so not to late to take part!

I'm not selling these cars so hopefully we are going to have a bit of fun with discussing Cars and the prices over the long Winter Months that is just around the corner. That's all it is, a bit of fun!

I live in Austria and have been studying the prices of MK1's for about seven years here (it's a sick hobby I guess). We don't have many for sale here. If the UK has say 300 (as a high) in a Month we might have 10 to 15 if that, that's the sought of ratio we are looking at.

So what are the Rules?
You can comment on the car but you can't ask direct questions about the car. Because they're not mine and I'm not contacting the sellers.
(you can of course ask each other)
You must state your price in GBP or pounds in other words.

I will post a new car every Sunday and reveal the real 'Asking Price' on the following Saturday.
Anyone found cheating will be dealt with in the strongest possible terms, 'Tarred and Feathered' just for starters.

What's in it for you?
Not much really as it's a bit of fun, you get to see a different market place and might be crowned Season 4 Champion at the end with a little prize in the shape of a gold engraved medal.
Or just browse through the cars and banter whilst drinking you tea or whatever takes your fancy.

So lets get started below by reading 'Season1' and see how quickly the banter changes from common sense to utter madness.  ;)

So here's the first one.

Car No. 1

VW Golf Limousine

Expired Stickers (no MOT)
for repairing:
2 pcs rear wheel arches outside
Rusty sills and rear apron.

Mileage 90000
Year 01.1984

So that's all I know, well apart from the asking price!
I wouldn't mind having this one myself but add the cost of the car and getting it up together with what for sure would be a very expensive DIVORCE if I come home with it.
I'll give this one and all of them a miss!

I must admit both cars have something going for them.
They both have a lot of potential, for me the red (less work) but that green????

My problem is,  I can now fall head over heels in love way to easy with a MK1, I can hug it, care for it and spend a small fortune on it but then I'd never let it go!
That tells me I'd be buying on emotion and that is a very bad thing indeed.  :shake:

(I'm sure there's a few others out there that know what I mean) we've all done it!  :P

So with that in mind, give it your best shot. :ocf_emoticons__tank:

Getting close to the end of this weeks "Guess the price".
All will be revealed tomorrow, so get your thoughts in and a chance to win some points!
AND REMEMBER no cheating, it just spoils the fun and a bit of fun is what it's all about.

I've been searching high and low this week to find enough Mk1's to put one up per week to get us through this Winter.
One thing for sure, there's going to be one or two surprises, well they were for me.

Not found enough yet as they are like chickens teeth over here but I'm almost there.  :)
