I have been trying to find a tool solution to solve an issue for my 77 Golf Mk1, my Golf Mk2 of 17 years and current Mk1 GarytheGolf of 18 years.

Can you guess what it is for?

Details to follow.

Ingenious! My brain isn't geared up for improvisation like that,.so I bought one of these 27 mm hex sockets for mine:

Thanks for the response. I bought these items from a company called

Westfield Fasteners, the only place I could find to buy M18 Nuts and Bolts, many suppliers don't list the M18. The bolt could be slightly shorter if you wanted.

Cost slightly more than yours, but specific to the task. I don't have a motorbike and it won't go rusty.

Ingenious, I used PVC connectors, The other day I was watching a Youtubber on how to press pilot bushings out of a motor housing using bread, you have to see it to believe it.

Good work Malcolm

I remember getting mine out with a hex bolt borrow from Yomp in 2012, it was VERY tight!!

I'll be honest, that was my first thought but it didn't look big enough!
Just don't lose it like I always do with my infrequent use tools!
