I have a mk1 golf cabro 1998 its moded with a mk2 2.0 16v twin carb's with 205bhp,it's white with 16inch black alloys and a power hood the inside and outsid is not mint as the previous owner was going to use it as a track car but never did,The hood needs replacing few bits of surface rust but structure all good here is most of the spec,
g60 brakes with new discs,pads and wheel bearingsmk3 subframe assembley wishbones,hubs and driveshafts etc,all from a mk3 1.6 with 76,000.new fuel pump and braided fuel line,the engine was stripped to a bare block then cleaned and honed out and decked(refaced)5 thou,what ever that meanscrank,rods,pistons,clutch and pullyes all balanced together,the engine was rebuilt with new rings,ksmain and big end bearingsnew oil pump and pick up,the head was skimmed none standard high lift cams ,42mm inlet manifold and a scorpion four branch 2.5"exhaust system,thats all i know,i have all the information and history for the mk2 used and loads of bills for the work nearly £6000 i know its not worth that but any ideas would be great thanks matt

As it stands I would reckon between 1k and 3k depending on just how bad it looks.
Probably the best thing to do would be be put it back to as standard as possible and sell the 'expensive' bits on.
The old adage of 'never buy someone elses work' is most definitely at play here!
Cause I'm probably wrong and it's worth 9k 'cos it's been donw really well and there happens to be someone out there who really wants a cabby with that spec.
