Porsche D90's 8J

Hi all happy New year.
I'd thought i'd start 2015 with a present for my 92 Rivage cabby.

As much as I like the diamond cut 15" Le Castellets they just didn't fill the arches as much as I liked.  so I've managed to pick up a set of Porsche D90's that have been polished ( although a little more work to do).

the problem is although there's loads of info on here about fitting them a lot of it is contradictory in places and most are about staggered 8J 7J 6J combinations

They are 16"x 8J….5x130 and have 205x40x16 tyres fitted. offset is et52

my cabby has been dropped 40mm I'm I correct that a at 25mm and a 20mm spacer adapter will do the job in mind that they are 8J and the already fitted 205x40x16 tyres fitted are too wide and i'll need 195x40 or 45 tyres.

i'll still have to save for the adapters and the tyres but once they arrive at least they are a start

Any help would be great

Thanks Chris

8J all round I'd go with 195/45 although 195/40 is good  but limits manufacturers. Personally I'm a fan of nankangs. Great value and come up narrow so ideal for tuners.

Most setups as you say are staggered so 8j up front is a little tricky. For a good look you want the rear offset 10-15mm wider than the front so I'd be looking for 15-20mm front spacers and 25-30mm rear.

Go with thinner spacers and you can add a 3/5mm shim to dial in the fitment. Much easier than returning a spacer that is 5mm oversize.
