how to mount chrome trim around door glass?

Hi guys,

I'm dreaming of finding some chrome trims for the doors on my 4 door mk1. specifically the ones around the glass. I can sometimes be lucky to find the alu trims on ebay, but is it possible to mount does on my existing scrappers and mouldings ?

Do anyone have any good pictures of how they are mounted and/or the scrappers and mouldings, to see the difference ?
