How much should I expect to pay

Post

Hi all. Looking for a little guidance.

Need a nee inner and out sill on the offside on my mk1 GTI Tintop.

What should I expect to pay.

BTW I am in the process of removing the rear beam and fuel tank when it I noticed how bad it is, so if the rear beam needs dropping for the welding then it won’t be sieved up by the time I take it somewhere.

You should expect to pay around £40+ per hour.

It's difficult to put amount of hours to the job without seeing it, but for a good quality repair you can expect at least 25 hours +

Thank you.

I was guessing about £1k for it. Then it will need paint as well.

Let’s hope the rear beam mount is sound when I get can get the one stuck nut off - that way at least I can drive
It to a body shop for a proper look at.

Anyone know a decent place near Solihull, Redditch and Birmingham.  It’s the type of repair that’s not worth going for the lowest price on I feel.

Definitely.

Go for the best job possible.

As a body man of over 40 years, I may be able to help you. But I am Bedfordshire based.

You need a restoration company rather than accident repair if you can find one.
