What brought you to nearly selling your golf? What made you decide not to?
with mine it’s paintwork..little bubble blisters on both sides. Thought the cost would be eye watering so was considering letting go.
quote to fix is quite dear…but saved thousands on not buying a car I’d love far less than my Golf

On the edge literally non-stop since the day I drove it home to now - waiting to get it back from the garage (after the MOT has expired).

If it didn't have a really big sun roof and we hadn't had a lot of sun, it would be long gone. Lots of reasons, but if you want some solidarity on the paint:

Whip
/wip/
Noun - Car

When the steering wheel was first put into use in automobiles, it was called the whip. The term has now been generalised to classify any automobile.

It's an non started project. Been garaged for 20 years. I'm moving house and I don't have the space, time or money to do the car. So reluctantly I have to sell it. But in needs to go to someone who is going to appreciate it and give it the love and attention it needs.
And this seemed like the best place to find that person.

Be great to see it resurrected. You are amazing keeping it on the back burner for so long.
