VW collection up for sale/swap

Hi all,

I havent posted on this forum much but I'm always here browsing and looking through peoples projects.

Lately I have had to make a few decisions as I have too many projects to work on so its time to sort them out and narrow them down.

I have only decided to do this of late so as yet I havent really started to sort through it but I would like to give you an idea of what I have and to see if anyone is willing to offer a swap.

Here is a quick list of what I'm offering, I will add more detailed descriptions later along with more pictures.

1982 VW Mk1 Golf Driver 1.3 2 door, non sunroof, Regatta blue, 81k miles and I'm the second owner. In very near mint condition, it only needs minor jobs doing. Still Mot'd (I think) it will fly through its next.

1981 VW Mk1 Golf 1.1c 2 door, non sunroof, non running project but fairly complete and the shell is pretty straight, missing front wings.

1991 VW Mk2 8v GTi converted to ABF 16v and custom wiring loom, 2 door tornado red, G60 front brakes, Koni damper, eibach springs, eibach anti roll bars, poly bushed front end.  still mot'd but will need work, rear beam bushes, needs a new exhaust and it needs a coat of paint but the body is quite solid.

I have 2 Mk1 caddy's, 1 is a stripped shell that is really straight but still needs some welding doing. The last is a complete but non runner, again quite straight the worts being a few holew in the rear bulkhead.

I also have a Mk3 GTi 16v ABF to break, as well as many many spares from cars I have broken, along with a Vr6 engine/box, and a 1.9 TD AAZ engine. I have numerous service parts and spares along with lots of bit I collected for projects like chrome parts.

I will sort through some pictures to give you all a better idea of whats there, but here one of the blue mk1 Driver.



I'm not really sure what I'm after so I'm open to offers, but I'm mainly looking for….

vw camper, ideally a bay window, but open to any
Hillman imp,
Davrians,
Mk2 escort
or similar………..?! but it must be on the road with mot!

Any comments or questions appreciated?

Here are a few picture of the '82 1.1c, 2 door non sunroof. As I said she is pretty solid, there is a little hole poking out from the windscreen rubber. She was dry stored for 6 years before I bought her, and I have stored here for about 2 now. Any more info just ask…

This is the '83 1.3 Driver, 81k miles, 2 door non sunroof. I bought this from the little old lady who bought it new 28 years ago. It was parked under cover next to her house and she never went further than 60 miles a week. Its original paint, glass, plates and even dealer key ring. This is the cleanest car I have ever owned and needs minor work to finish. There are no parking dinks I can find except the small dent by the drivers side rear light, see photo. It has had a repair done on the back of both sill and although still strong I had planned to redo them a little neater, see photo. I have both bumpers. Its starts like a watch and runs lovely. last Mot it had new front wheel bearing, disks, pads….. and seems to always had anything it needed. Unfortunately there is no history as she threw it all out a few weeks before I bought the car as it was cluttering up her house! The pictures don't do it justice, but heres a few….















Im after….

£2,500 for the blue mk1 driver with 12month mot and 6 months tax. mint car I bought from original owner. nicest I have owned.

£750 for the red mk1 1.1c non runner

£850 for my mk2 gti fitted with an abf running digi3, 280mm brakes, koni dampers and eibach springs (done less than 1k miles). no tax or mot

£550 for a straight non running 1.6d mk1 caddy

£300 for a stripped mk1 caddy shell, some selding done.

I'm open to swaps but I'm really after a 2 door viva hc or similar at the moment?!
