Description:
It's the same old story I'm afraid. Boy buys car, boy decides to do up car, boy takes cars to bits, boy gets different job, boy gets married, boy gets mortgage, boy doesn't have time to play with cars no more.
I;ve basically stripped the interior out and most of the engine bay bar the engine. It still has the 1.6 carb'y engine but….

buyer gets a FREE 1.8 GTI engine too!

My plan was to strip the car out, refit the interior, sand the paint down and do a quick roller paint job (still got the rustoleum paint if anyone is interested), change the engine to 1.8 GTi one but run it with a weber carb (included in sale) with 1 penny pieces in the injection holes.
So far I stripped most of the car out, and have filled most of the dents and smoothed, keyed all the paint, and not a lot else!

I also sold the clipper kit off and got some smaller black plastic bumpers.

The hood is in tatters, needs some TLC. As does most of the interior. I still have the passenger seat and the rear seat (black leather) but they are worn and the drivers seat is all warped and broken; but I do have a decent det of standard mk1 front seats (grey fabric) which the buyer can have. The dash board and the knee bar cover are there but tatty; basically everything needs TLC.
