A lovely little Mark 1 Golf GL 1.6 Karman Convertable

Here we have a lovely little Mark 1 Golf GL 1.6 Karman Convertable Auto
This is friends car who lives in a tiny village in the Lake District, so has passed it on to me to

try and sell as I live in a much more reachable Carlisle.

It is in Storm Silver and is in good condition having covered just 85,000 miles with a

comprehensive service history including a stamped book right up to 83,750 miles and many, many

receipts for work done.. My friend Paula, bought this car at the end of 2008 but just has not had

the time to use it so is now passing it on to someone who can use this wonderful little

convertable.

Over £500 has been spent on the brakes, some welding, a new water pump and housing, new thermostat

and a new MOT which runs until May next year. There is tax on the car till the end of November.

The car runs very well, the auto box chaging up and down as it should. There a few tiny surface

rust bubbles but nothing that detracts from the smart look. It is the 1.6 engine and all VW

enthusiats know how reliable and long lasting this engines are. The car also has a radio cassette

and has the extra 3 dials on the centre consol, although these are not wired in. It has £600 worth

of BBS Alloy wheels which many people have tried buying seperately.

The roof was replaced just before Paula bought it and although a bit stiff from lack of use, it's

in lovely condition. Ok so there we go, a great little car that can be used as a daily classic

which can only go up in value!
