need help !!!

grettings my mk1 knights, I've an mk1 but it's pretty knackered, it has a lot of rust, but it's been in the family for a long long time, everybody says I should sold it but I love the car, the fatc is that with the money I could spend in the restoration I can buy another car I was thinking in a mk2 GTI, the other thing is that an mk2 does'nt run too fast as the mk1, 'm talking about little things my mk1 only have the 1.8 engine, a weber 32/36, iridium spark plugs, ceramic clutch and it runs very nice :twisted: ; the owner of the mk2 is a friend, and my car beats his car for a lot, what do you say people should I put in sell my mk1 ? or restoration? even my machanic says I should buy the mk2, but men, my mk1, I don't know what to do……  help me!!!

Its your decision. If you don't want to restore the existing Mk1 you have, you could save up and buy another (better condition) one. Bear in mind that its going to have some issues, the youngest ones will be 22 years old now. Also remember that the Mk2 is pretty old too (14-22 years) so of course issues here, will occur.

keep the mk1 ,sounds like mine rusty leaks water needs alot of work,dont give up,

Everyone including my nextdoor neighbours dog has a Mk2,way too predictable,best stick with the real Mcoy i reckon  

Keep the Mk1 - you'll regret it otherwise  :wink:
