Do you know anyone whose converted?

Hey guys,
Does anyone know of or know how easy/difficult it is to convert manual roof opening to an electric roof opening?
And how much would it set me back?
Any advice or help appreciated!!
Thanks

you will need the electric pump and rams, plus the extra wiring and a switch, im not certain but i think the pump will fit straight on. Typical, ive not long thrown a working pump and rams away :(

I've got a feeling that the manual and electric versions use slightly different hood frames so you'd probably have to replace the whole roof. I think Chortie is your man regards everything roof related.

Yep whole roof frane has to change. You will also need some brackets welding in the back. Not impossible but not a simple conversion either

Basically you need the full set up from a Power hood set up.

Brackets which need welding on. Wiring loom, plus other bits. It's a  doable job if your ok with a welder

I don't think I could trust myself with a welder yet, none of my friends outside of a garage has a welder at home either. I'm trying to keep as much as I can done by myself before taking it in to a garage you see.. To see how much I can do really!

If i was you I would just leave it for the time being, the roofs are easy enough to put up and down manually :)
