I did lengthen some of mine so they are routed better but still had plenty left.
I did buy the cheap pattern stuff from a VW show for a couple of pounds but I do have to replace them every 3 or 4 years as they do start to crack on the ends, my car is a daily drive.

The first and second photos show the pipe (the one against my hand) the third picture show the fitting it needs to go on and the forth is a picture of the pipe hole size. Is this the same as yours? You can see from the forth photo that the hole is bigger than 3.5mm. This is definetly causing my low idol as the idle speed changes as I move the pipes around.

Looking at your pictures I'm not sure it's all plumbed in right, what year is your car?
Do you have this valve fitted at the end of the yellow pipe? That may be why it is different if you don't have the valve…

On my 1988 car the yellow pipe is the fuel enrichment valve, white hose goes the MFA MPG guage. The black hose going to the dissy comes from the back of the throttle body near the idle screw.

Another thing that I noticed on the car the other day was this hole in the inlet manifold. Is this normal. it looks as if something may have been covering the hole at some point but has been removed
